The Cooled Down Features TômTex

The Cooled Down published an article on TômTex securing a 4.15 million investment to expand operations. They highlighted that the company received funding from investors like SOSV, Happiness Capital, Parley for the Ocean, and MIH Capital.

TômTex, founded by Uyen Tran, embodies their mission of turning waste into luxury with their novel materials. Their materials mimic fabrics like leather, suede, latex, and pleather while being formulated from shrimp shells and coffee grounds.

Many leather alternatives like vegan leather, cactus leather, and fish leather use plastic in production, meaning they can take decades to decompose. Unlike these alternatives, TômTex’s materials are fully biodegradable.

The company’s mission resonates with investors like Eric Ng from Happiness Capital who said “Investing in TômTex means investing in a scalable platform that has the potential to revolutionize industries while making a positive impact on our environment.”
