Join Biodesign Challenge

Join us for the 10th anniversary of Biodesign Challenge, an international competition and education program for high schools and colleges that introduces students to the intersections of biotechnology, art, and design!

By registering for the program, your classroom gains access to our resources and mentor network. After the Challenge, everyone who participated in a BDC course, not just finalists, becomes a part of the growing biodesign alumni community and receives support for future opportunities.

5. PRIZES

Compete for awards such as the Glass Microbe, Outstanding Science, Outstanding Social Critique, sponsored prizes, and more.

7. IMPACT

Join the first generation of biodesigners who are innovating with biotechnology and engaging the public to foster a better future for people and planet.

4. SUMMIT

Present projects at the Summit in NYC at Parsons and the Museum of Modern Art before prominent artists, designers, curators, scientists, entrepreneurs and the general public.

6. NETWORK

Launch projects into their next phase of development with BDC support for alumni opportunities with museums, galleries, investors, and accelerator programs.

This project gave the students an opportunity to explore what they wanted to do professionally and speak to experts in the field. It also helped them to learn about different issues both socially and scientifically that they may have never otherwise come across.
