May 25, BDC Alumni Curiosity Conversation

Curiosity Conversations — May 25 at 7:00 PM EDT

Curiosity Conversations are a series of virtual meetups for BDC alumni to share their diverse professional journeys, network, celebrate successes, and commiserate. Featured alumni will host these conversations, sharing stories about their lives after BDC. The goal of these casual conversations is to give feedback, exchange knowledge, and cross-pollinate ideas. Current BDC students are also welcome.

Please RSVP here to register. A Zoom invite will be sent prior to the event.

We keep these gatherings small and limit them to 20 guests. If the event is full, you will be added to our waitlist and be notified if space becomes available!

Celeste Rose

Celeste is an NYC-based Industrial Designer who focuses on making a positive environmental and social impact through her work. Having graduated from a dual degree in Psychology and Industrial Design, and a minor in Communication Design at Parsons, her approach to design is to first thoroughly research users' needs, desires, resources and skills. She is a firm believer in designing with the people, rather than merely for the people.

Ever since having been introduced more deeply into the world of Biodesign when she participated in the 2020 Biodesign Challenge with the project ARC, she has been determined to make it an important part of her career. However, given that it is still an emerging domain, she, likely along with countless other aspiring bioesigners, is still struggling and seeking ways in which these careers can be realized.

Join her in discussing how designers who have not only graduated recently but have done so in the midst of a global pandemic and economic recession, can take steps into the professional world of biodesign. Let’s make use of this common passion and platform to help each other to create the utmost future impact.
