PlantGPT combines conversational user interfaces, sensors, and AI to revolutionize plant care. By integrating sensors connected to Arduinos, the team monitors key factors such as water levels, humidity, temperature, and heat index. These sensors feed data into scripts that interface with AI chatbots, personifying the plant and enabling it to communicate its needs to the caretaker. The project gives plants a form of self-determination, inspired by earlier experiments where plants could move or monitor themselves.
