Biodesign Challenge Visits SVA

NEW YORK, February 24 -- BDC Program Director Daniel Grushkin visited School of the Visual Arts (SVA) biodesign course to introduce students to one of their consulting experts, Leslie Mitchell, a Postdoctoral Fellow from NYU Langone Medical Center. Mitchell gave a presentation on her work, led the students through a tour of the lab at the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences, and instructed them on how to paint with genetically modified yeast. This semester, SVA's students tackle the theme of food.
