Soundproof Tapestry

Soundproof Tapestry focuses on tackling the problem of noise pollution in NYC by using recycled textile waste with soundproofing qualities built into an artwork that looks good while keeping out the sounds of traffic and construction from the city.

UpDesign utilizes old plastic bottles to turn them into filament for 3D printers through a mechanical process the team developed. The upcycled plastic is used to 3D print art and jewelry.
