Dr. Stephanie Forsberg is a high school science teacher from East Hampton High School on the East End of Long Island. She is a science research instructor and has a background in biology and marine science. Her own research focused on the effects of climate change on marine species including shellfish and macroalgal species from French Polynesia. Dr. Forsberg has done research in oceans and marine environments around the world. After earning two master's degrees in Biology and Science Education, a PhD in Marine Science, and publishing her own research across vast scientific journals and global conferences, she has continued to communicate her passion of science to her students and has taught in public high schools in New York state for 10+ years and now is bringing her students to compete for the first time at the Biodesign Challenge.
