BDC 2018 Alumni Win Global Change Award

BDC 2018 project-turned-company, Werewool, has been awarded the Global Change Award from the H&M Foundation. The award is meant to speed up the process of finding, supporting, and scaling up disruptive early stage innovations that can enhance circularity in the fashion industry.

The award, which has been called the “Nobel Prize of Fashion,” provides funding in the amount of 1 million euro which is split between five winners. Werewool was awarded 250,000 euro to develop their company, which designs protein fibers at the DNA level to develop sustainable textiles with inherent properties. Winners of the award are also expected to attend the year-long Innovation Accelerator Program which takes place across Stockholm, New York, and Hong Kong.
