Lixilab Awarded Cumulus Green 2nd Prize

The LixiLab team, which participated in the Biodesign Challenge in 2021, were recently announced as 2nd prize winners for the Cumulus Green 2022 Awards. The team from the Universidad de los Andes proposed an accessible soil bioremediation technology to extract heavy metals using a bacterium called Lysinibacillus sphaericus CBAM5.
