In response to contaminated drinking water in Flint, Michigan, the team designed a water filtration system that absorbs lead. The filter is made from mycelium and vegetable scraps and changes color when it must be replaced.

Chrissy Dilley
Chrissy has been teaching high school science for over 17 years and recently began exploring the use of Design Thinking in the development of curricula and student experience. She is a life long learner and is always willing to embrace failure as an integral part of the process. Last year was her first time participating the BDC and she learned a lot! After taking some design courses and asking a lot of questions she is ready to present prototype version II.
