Power-A for Gourmet

This project imagines a future where humans no longer need to consume food for nutrients. Power-A for Gourmet is a transdermal patch made primarily of algae, which can be worn to provide all necessary nutrients over a 24-hour period.

Kärt Ojavee (PhD) is a textile artist and designer. Her work is focused on future concepts of textiles and (inter)active interior fabrics where technology and soft materials are combined. She is a lecturer and senior researcher in the interior design department at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Annika Kaldoja (MA) is an interior architect and product and furniture designer. She has been giving lectures, courses, and workshops at the Estonian Academy of Arts on materials research, design, experimental processes, practice-based biomaterials development, and responsible resources.

Marie Vinter (MA) is a textile designer and researcher with sustainable textile consulting experience from Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator's sustainable material library. Her creative practice investigates silks and experimental protein-based structures for the luxury and textile industries.

Studio Aine (Annika Kaldoja, Kärt Ojavee and Marie Vinter) is a materials design and development studio based in Tallinn, Estonia, whose research and creative work focuses on environmentally sensitive materials, materials awareness, and cross-domain networking.
