Rutgers' "Plastomach" Installed on Governors Island

“Plastomach”, a BDC 2018 alumni project that was created by Rutgers students, was on display as part of the installation, “Home Is Where the Plastic-Eating Stomach Is.” The installation was in the Kitchen Gallery at Swale House on New York’s Governors Island. “Plastomach” resembles a stomach and is able to break down plastic debris via white rot fungi.
