Amber is a plant-based, waterproof biomaterial made out of rice husks and pine resin. It’s goal is to give agency to Hispanic and Latino community members to help eliminate food waste in their daily practices.

Stefani Bardin

Stefani Bardin investigates the influences of corporate culture and industrial food production on our food system and the environment. She works with neuroscientists, biologists, engineers, gastroenterologists, and chefs to ground her research and her art work in the scientific world. She is currently a member of the New Museum’s Art + Technology Incubator NEW INC and teaches in NYU’s Graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and Graduate Food Studies Program. Stefani’s work has been written about in publications including Wired Magazine, Scientific American, Art21, Forbes, and New York Magazine and published by the Bauhaus Press imprint Spector Books. Her recent exhibitions include the Jan Van Eyk Academie in the Netherlands, Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal, Asia Triennial in the UK, Flaherty NYC at Anthology Film Archives, the Creative Time Summit, and the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center at Parsons.
