Bottled Biome

Spencer Cadman

This project imagines a future where humans will turn to storing plant life in bottles to salvage what remains of the species until a better environment can be produced that allows cohabitation between humans and plant life. The student imagined out these bottled biomes by creating a self-sustaining terrarium.

Chameleon DNA

Marcos Hamelin

This project visualizes a CRISPR injection cuff that alters human DNA to visually express mood, based on the nano-crsytal structure of chameleon skin. The use of many needles in the cuff makes the user aware of the pain involved in the procedure and the ethical questions it raises.

TDCS Futures

Kasey Hayes

This project envisions clothing items in a future where Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (TDCS) is commonplace. A baseball cap is designed for those who would like to take TDCS treatments discreetly while a TDCS headdress can be used to show wealth, celebrity, and status.

Microbiome Surface

Julia Schuler

Microbiome Surface speculates a household cleaning product made up of the user’s microbiome.
